UBM Live is part of UBM Ltd, a leading global media company listed on the London Stock Exchange. UBM Live manages a number of market leading exhibitions, awards, websites, online products and publications in 20 different business sectors.
With offices in the UK, Netherlands, USA, UAE and Brazil, UBM Live has successfully geo-cloned its brands into territories such as China, Japan, Asia, Eastern Europe, South America and now Africa.
The UBM Montgomery partnership was formed in 2008 when UBM bought a 50% stake in Securex, which was owned by Montgomery Africa’s sister company Specialised Exhibitions. It soon became apparent that a specialist JV vehicle was needed to manage this business and Securex, which was rebranded IFSEC South Africa became the first joint venture event to be run through Montgomery Africa.
The IFSEC South Africa brand continues to grow in South Africa and the 2012 event will be the fourth run as a joint venture.
UBM Montgomery has also now taken IFSEC to West Africa and it has launched further UBM Live brands into South Africa such as Occupational Health & Safety (OSH) and The Facilities Show.
